This tour combines exercise, nature and the husky experience in a very special way. From Kreuzboden, the trail leads up to the Weissmieshütte and on to Hohsaas. Along the way, you will be accompanied by impressive views, a genuine alpine atmosphere and a special bond with your husky. Once you reach the top, a unique panorama and lunch together in Hohsaas await you.

High alpine route

The tour leads from Kreuzboden via the Weissmieshütte to Hohsaas and runs for long stretches in impressive high alpine surroundings. The trail always offers beautiful views and conveys a real mountain feeling.

Your own husky by your side

Each participant is travelling with their own husky. This creates a personal experience with direct contact, genuine cooperation and many special moments.

Weissmieshütte as a stage destination

The path climbs from Kreuzboden in serpentines and we reach the Weissmieshütte, which is already visible from the start. It is a particular highlight of the tour and makes the experience even more impressive.

Hohsaas with 18 four-thousand metre peaks

Once you reach Hohsaas, a unique panorama opens up with views of 18 four-thousand-metre peaks. This view makes the tour a special experience for all those who love huskies and mountains.

Small group, intensive experience

With a maximum of 4 participants, the tour remains personal, quiet and intensive. This leaves enough time for supervision, enjoying nature and real husky moments.

Programme of the event

1 - Welcome & getting to know each other

We meet at the agreed meeting point, get to know the huskies and prepare for the trek together. You will receive an introduction to the procedure, equipment and how to handle your husky.

2 - Start on the Kreuzboden

The tour starts from the Kreuzboden mountain station in an easterly direction. Together with your husky, you embark on an impressive trekking experience in high alpine surroundings.

3 - Ascent to the Weissmieshütte

The path zigzags uphill and we reach the Weissmieshütte. After a short rest, we continue towards Hohsaas over the Tamatterhang and along the moraine.

4 - Hohsaas, panorama & lunch

The final ascent leads up to the ridge and on to Hohsaas. Once at the top, a unique panorama with views of 18 four-thousand-metre peaks awaits you. Finally, we enjoy lunch together in Hohsaas before the day draws to a relaxed close.

Husky Trekking Hohsaas

Experience a special husky trekking tour in high alpine surroundings. Together with your own husky, you hike from Kreuzboden up to the Weissmieshütte and on to Hohsaas. The route combines impressive nature, real exercise and direct contact with huskies to create an intense mountain experience. Along the way, there is time to take a deep breath, marvel and take photos. Once you reach the top, a unique panorama awaits you with views of 18 four-thousand metre peaksbefore we round off the day with lunch together in Hohsaas.

Weather and hiking trails:

  • Our trekking events take place in the beautiful subalpine area of the Upper Valais. Please note that weather conditions can vary greatly during the winter/summer season.
  • The weather can change quickly and there may be unexpected storms or an increased risk of avalanches.

For these reasons, we need your mobile phone number where we can reach you on the day of the event in case of last-minute changes.

General booking conditions:

  • The event is booked as soon as payment has been received by Wild Swiss Adventure & Dog School GmbH.
  • Up to 15 days before the event the booking can be cancelled via your profile or by e-mail, in which case 4% bank charges will be retained.
  • Up to 14 days before the event the booking can be cancelled via your profile or via e-mail, 50% of the booking value will be refunded.
  • Up to 7 days before the event the booking can be cancelled via your profile or by e-mail, 20% of the booking value will be refunded.
  • 24 hours before the event you will receive a text message and an e-mail informing you whether the event will take place due to bad weather, high temperatures or other unforeseeable conditions.

To ensure that you can enjoy your event without worries and are covered for unforeseen events such as illness or accidents, we recommend that you take out travel insurance. It is the responsibility of the participants to take out insurance.

Photos and videos:

  • You are allowed to take photos and film during the event.
  • We will take photos during the event, which we will make available to you shortly afterwards. If you do not want these photos to be used by Wild Swiss Adventure GmbH on the website or on social media platforms, please indicate this when you register.

Clothing:

  • Please wear appropriate clothing for the conditions.
  • Please do not wear snowsuits with animal motifs, as this can lead to misunderstandings with the huskies. Wild Swiss Adventure GmbH is not liable for any damages.

If we have to cancel your booked event due to weather conditions or impassable trail conditions, you have the choice:

  1. Postponement for an alternative date that suits us both

  2. Refund the amount already paid less a one-off processing fee of 5 % of the gross booking amount (minimum CHF 10.-) to cover our payment processing costs

The remaining amount will be transferred back net to the payment method you used. Please note that additional fees charged by your payment service provider (e.g. CC/PayPal) cannot be covered by us
